FAQ

  • Is there a statute of limitations on executing a judgment?

Yes, in Washington the limit is usually 10 years, but it is also possible to renew a judgment.

  • Can interest be recovered on an unpaid judgment?

Usually yes. Most judgments include a provision for the payment of interest. Your judgment could be worth significantly more than the day it was awarded.

  • Is there any guarantee that you will be successful?

Man Grabbing Money No, sometimes there are simply no assets to seize. But we will do our best because if we are unable to enforce a judgment, we don't get paid!

  • What does it take to enforce a judgment?

It all depends on how difficult it is to locate the judgment debtor and then uncover their assets. Some debtors are pretty adept at hiding their assets; they can appear to live without any 'normal' means of support. We will do our best to get results in the first few weeks, but it could take months in a difficult case.

  • What if the debtor has moved out of the state?

Our skip-tracing and asset investigation techniques are available on a global basis. Many times our investigation leads us to assets located outside of Washington. Our Investigative Team has the resources to successfully enforce a judgment, regardless of where the debtor is located.

  • Will the judgment debtor be contacted?

We discover their assets and go through the court to recover the judgment from those assets. We rarely make contact with the debtor though sometimes a debtor will contact our company once the assets have been seized.
